CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev Takes Part in the Sixth World Nomad Games Opening Ceremony.
The ceremony took place on 31 August 2026 at the Bishkek Arena, the largest stadium in Central Asia with a capacity of around 51,000 spectators. The event was attended by the heads of state of the SCO member states.
The ceremony began with music performances. Spectators watched a parade of representatives from 112 participating countries and a large-scale show dedicated to the history, philosophy and spiritual heritage of nomadic civilisation.
More than 1350 media representatives cover the sixth World Nomad Games, one of the largest international projects aimed at preserving and promoting the intangible cultural heritage of nomadic peoples.
The sixth World Nomad Games will run from 31 August to 6 September. The main sports and cultural programme will take place in the Issyk-Kul Region.
