On September 4, 2026, a working meeting dedicated to the preparations for the 7th meeting of the CIS Human Rights Commission was held at the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was attended by the member of the Commission from the Russian Federation, authorized representatives of the offices of the Commission members from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as by the representatives of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the CIS Statutory and Other Bodies, and by staff members of the Commission Secretariat and the CIS Executive Committee.
The participants discussed the draft agenda of the upcoming Commission session and exchanged opinions on the materials prepared for it. They also addressed issues related to the holding of the round table titled “On Mediation Mechanisms for the Settlement of Disputes Affecting Human Rights” and the conference dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the adoption of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of December, 16, 1966.
