The Executive Committee is a permanent executive, administrative, and coordinating body of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
It supports the activities of the Council of Heads of State, the Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers, and the Economic Council, develops proposals for Commonwealth strategy, works on draft documents of the CIS, follows the implementation of decisions and treaties, and systematically reports to the highest bodies of the Commonwealth.
The Executive Commitee is headed by Secretary General of the CIS.
The Headquarters are located in Minsk, The Republic of Belarus, with a branch office in Moscow, the Russian Federation.
