On 14 September 2026, the Head of the CIS Observation Mission, CIS Deputy Secretary-General Ilkhom Nematov, was on a working trip to Nizhny Novgorod.
As part of the long-term monitoring, Ilkhom Nematov visited No. 2553 Precinct Election Commission and the regional Public Observation Centre for the deputies elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly, established on the basis of the Public Headquarters for Election Observation.
The representatives of the Public Headquarters said that the headquarters’ hotline started operating on September 14th.
On the voting days, public observers will cover 100% of polling stations. All of them have completed training under the updated programme of the “Independent Public Monitoring” Association.
In addition, the activities of 90% of precinct election commissions in Nizhny Novgorod and 70% of PECs in other districts of the region will be accompanied by public observers – bloggers.
Ilkhom Nematov highly praised the organisational support and technical equipment of the parliamentary elections public observation of in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
