At its 69th meeting, held on July 8–10, 2026, the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification adopted a decision to announce the eleventh competition for the 2027 CIS Quality Prize for achievements in product and service quality.
Held every two years, the competition aims to promote the production of competitive products and the provision of high-quality services, expand exports, and encourage the introduction of innovative technologies and modern quality management practices in organizations across the CIS member states.
Organizations engaged in the production of goods and/or provision of services may compete for the Prize provided they:
- reach the final stage of the national (first-stage) competition;
- demonstrate consistent product and/or service quality for at least two years preceding the competition;
- export their products and/or provide services in at least one other CIS member state.
The Prize is awarded in three employee-size categories:
- up to 250 employees,
- from 250 to 1,500 employees,
- 1500 employees or more.
Awards are presented in four categories:
- Industrial Products,
- Consumer Goods,
- Food and Agricultural Products,
- Services.
During the first stage, national standardization, metrology and certification bodies assess organizations competing at the national level.
The second stage includes an expert review of the submitted materials and on-site assessment carried out by expert commissions appointed by the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. These commissions include experts from other CIS member states, which ensures impartial evaluation and facilitates the exchange of best practices in quality management. Organizations are assessed according to established criteria using a scoring system that provides a comprehensive evaluation of their performance, the effectiveness of their quality management systems, operational results, and future development potential.
Prize winners and diploma recipients receive the CIS Quality Prize diplomas and awards. In addition, winning organizations are entitled to use the emblem of the Prize on product labeling, packaging, advertising materials and official documentation for a period of three years, thereby providing additional confirmation of the high quality of their products and services.
Information about the winners is published on the official website of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification, disseminated through the media and reference publications, and forwarded to the governments of the CIS member states.
Applications and supporting material must be submitted to the expert commissions’ secretariats by October 1, 2026.
