On May 27–28, the first Belorussian Pharmaceutical Forum took place in Minsk.
The event was attended by specialists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany, India, China, Mongolia, Poland, Turkey and representatives of the Standing Commission on Health, Physical Culture, Family and Youth Policy of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus as well as the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the CIS Executive Committee.
The first Belorussian Pharmaceutical Forum proved to be a reputable dialogue platform for constructive interaction between government regulators and key market participants.
The participants exchanged their international experience in the field of medicine market authorization, paying particular attention to mechanisms for the accelerated introduction of innovative drugs. The experts discussed in detail the issues of intellectual property protection, instruments of patent rights protection, and the support for the rights of original drug developers. A special emphasis was placed on the procedures of medicinal products registration and the harmonization of standards within the EAEU.
The Forum may become another step towards the further development of long-term international partnership, joint implementation of socially significant projects, and medicine safety strengthening in the region.
