On April 3, 2026, Moscow will host the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States “35 Years of the CIS. Developing the Greater Eurasian Partnership”. This platform for discussing strategic directions for Eurasian integration is a key annual event. The forum is organized by the CIS Business Center for Economic Development with the support of the CIS Executive Committee.
The event will be attended by the Secretaries General of the CIS, SCO, and ECO integration associations, the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU), the State Secretary of the Union State, Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the CIS Economic Council, representatives of government bodies, relevant ministries of economic development, finance, industry, and trade of the Commonwealth member states, as well as representatives of the expert community, industry associations, banking institutions, and foreign partners.
During Turkmenistan’s year of presidency of the CIS, the forum will discuss:
- strengthening security and stability at the regional and interregional levels;
- intensifying trade, economic and energy cooperation, including establishing a dialogue on energy resource transportation;
- developing an investment climate;
- eliminating barriers to the movement of capital, goods, services and labor, with the goal of creating a common infrastructure for innovative growth.
The plenary session will focus on developing cooperation in the “CIS+” format, shaping the contours of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, and expanding interregional economic cooperation. During thematic sessions, participants will discuss water resource allocation, Arctic development, implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, development of creative economy and culture, investment projects and financing mechanisms, settlements in the CIS and SCO countries, as well as current issues in the construction industry, standardization and technical regulation.
The forum will become an effective platform for developing practical solutions aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and developing the Greater Eurasian Partnership.
