On September 15, 2026, the Head of the CIS Observer Mission for the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly, CIS Deputy Secretary General Ilkhom Nematov visited the Central Executive Committee of the United Russia Party, where he met a member of the Party’s General Council Sergey Perminov.
On the same day, Ilkhom Nematov held a meeting with Gennady Zyuganov, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
The parties discussed the progress of the election campaign, the significance and specific features of the upcoming elections.
Ilkhom Nematov emphasized the CIS Observer Mission‘ principles of neutrality and non-interference and its strict adherence to the Russian Federation laws. To ensure maximum objectivity of the conclusions, the final statement of the Mission on the election results will be formed collectively during a meeting of the Coordinators’ Council after the voting is completed.
