A regular meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the CIS Economic Council was held on 23 September 2026 at the CIS Executive Committee’s Office in Moscow. The meeting addressed a range of issues related to the CIS member states economic cooperation.
The Commission considered:
- draft Programme of Scientific Research at the Kazakhstan Material Testing Tokamak for 2027–2029;
- draft Action Plan for the Implementation of the Concept for Cooperation among the CIS Member States in Countering Oncological Diseases for 2027–2030;
- information on the implementation of the Concept for Scientific, Technical and Technological Cooperation among the CIS Member States and the Action Plan for its implementation;
- information on the implementation of the Decision of the CIS Council of Heads of Government on the Concept of Coordinated Tariff Policy for Railway Transport of the CIS Member States of 18 October 1996 and on the Railways Tariff Policy of the CIS Member States for 2025–2026 freight years;
- Report on Regulatory Regimes in Banking Regulation and Supervision in the CIS Member States;
- Review of the Trade Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The next meeting of the Commission is to be held on 21 October 2026.
