The Ninth CIS International Motor Rally concluded in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, on July 27, 2026.
The rally, which started on July 21 and travelled along the roads of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, brought together representatives of transport authorities, executives and specialists of road administrations, and business from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Slovakia.
The rally concluded with the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “The Status, Problems, and Development of Highways in Kazakhstan” held at the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University.
The conference was organized by the Intergovernmental Council of Road Builders with the support of the CIS Executive Committee, KazAvtoZhol National Company, and the Association of Road Builders of Kazakhstan.
At the conference, modern approaches to road construction and the maintenance of existing roads at both regional and international levels were discussed. The participants showcased new materials and technological innovations designed to improve roadway quality, road safety and increase the quality of engineering design and survey work for the construction of new transport routes. The training of personnel for the road construction industry of the CIS member states was also considered.
