Regular Meeting of Economic Affairs Commission under CIS Economic Council Held in Moscow

On July 22, 2026, a regular meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council was held at the CIS Executive Committee office in Moscow.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of:

  • the Interstate Aviation Committee;
  • the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification;
  • the Institute of Economics and Systemic Research of Agricultural Development of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences;
  • the Coordination Committee on Air Defense under the CIS Council of Defense Ministers,

as well as:

  • CIS Deputy Secretary-General Denis Trefilov
  • responsible officials of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was chaired by representative of Turkmenistan Serdar Durdyev.

During the meeting, the Commission members exchanged views on the agenda items and adopted relevant decisions:

  1. On the draft Concept for Digital Transformation of the Timber Industry Complex of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States and the draft Action Plan for its implementation;
  2. On the draft Action Plan for implementing the Concept for Harmonization of National Air Traffic Management Systems of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States;
  3. On the activities of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification in 2023–2026;
  4. On the activities of the Intergovernmental Council for Agro-Industrial Complex of the CIS in 2023–2025;
  5. On the use of appropriations for the creation and development of the joint air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States and the provision of activities of the Coordination Committee on Air Defense under the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS Member States in 2025;
  6. On the allocation of appropriations for the creation and development of the joint air defense system of the Commonwealth of Independent States Member States in 2027;
  7. On the implementation of the unified budget of the Commonwealth of Independent States bodies for 2025 and certain issues of financial support for the activities of the CIS bodies in 2026 and 2027;
  8. On the draft unified budget of the Commonwealth of Independent States bodies for 2027;
  9. On the payment by the CIS member states of their share of contributions to the unified budget of the Commonwealth of Independent States bodies in 2026;
  10. On the draft agenda of the 111th meeting of the CIS Economic Council;
  11. On the date and draft agenda of the next meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission.

Materials on most issues have been submitted by the Commission for consideration at the meeting of the CIS Economic Council, scheduled for September 11 this year.

The next meeting of the Commission will be held on September 23, 2026.
