The awards ceremony for the 24th International Children’s Music Contest “Vitebsk-2026” took place on July 17 as part of the 35th International Arts Festival “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk”.
The Grand Prix of the contest was awarded to Elizaveta Tsuprik from Belarus, who scored the highest number of points over the two competition days. The First Prize went to Lucia Baicu from Romania, the Second Prize to Zhasmina Tuzelova from Kazakhstan and Kira Abramov from Israel, and the Third Prize to Valeria Shevchenko from Russia and Elitsa Malakova from Bulgaria.
The CIS Executive Committee Special Prize “Crystal Note of the Commonwealth” was awarded to the youngest contestant – Alexa Vardanyan from Armenia.
Presenting the award, CIS First Deputy Secretary-General Igor Petrishenko noted that music and creativity know no borders. Moreover, these borders do not exist in the common creative space of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
In his opinion, it is precisely the competitions for young and very young performers that give the “Slavic Bazaar” its special atmosphere. Every performance in the children’s contest was unique, left unforgettable impressions and became a true highlight of the festival program.
