On July 15, 2026, a meeting of the Working Group on the Integration of National eHealth Systems was held. The meeting brought together representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.
The main agenda item was the discussion of client-oriented digital solutions. The participants exchanged practical experience in implementing and operating national Patient Personal Account services. The experts reviewed national practices for providing citizens with online access to their electronic health records, electronic prescription services, online appointment booking and laboratory test results. The particular attention was paid to cybersecurity, the personal data protection and user authorization mechanisms through government digital identify systems.
The Belarusian side presented the Centralized Healthcare Information System. The software platform was developed as part of the CIS Strategic Initiative The Common Space for Health and Sustainable Development for 2026–2035 proposed by Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin at the meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council in Minsk on September 29, 2025.
The Working Group participants expressed their interest in further developing multilateral cooperation and maintaining a regular exchange of best practices in eHealth and cross-border telemedicine consultations. The experts agreed that joint efforts to advance telemedicine technologies would make it possible to hold urgent case conferences involving leading specialists from the CIS member states for complex clinical cases, thereby improving access to high-tech medical care regardless of a patient’s geographical location.
