The 01/49th joint meeting of the Regional Commonwealth Commission in the Field of Communications (RCC) on Telecommunications Regulation and the RCC Telecom and Infocommunications Operators Council was held at the Mariinsky Palace in St. Petersburg.
The participants were welcomed by Chairman of the Operators Council, Director General of RUE Beltelecom Alexander Kenda.
The speakers included experts from leading telecommunications companies in the region.
Key agenda topics:
- combating fraud in telecommunications;
- roaming communication service tariffs;
- development of Direct-to-Device technology;
- cross-border infrastructure projects;
- development of AI and data centers;
- prospects for 5G and 6G deployment in the region;
- production of telecommunications equipment;
- cybersecurity and threat models.
Particular attention was also paid to issues of domain business development, internet traffic analysis, and import substitution in the field of telecommunications equipment.
The meeting traditionally served as a platform for exchanging experience and developing joint solutions for the progress of the telecommunications industry in the region.
