CIS Youth Camp Opens in Kapan on International Youth Day

On August 12, International Youth Day, the CIS Youth Camp opened in Kapan, Armenia, the CIS Youth Capital in 2026.

 

On the opening day, the camp hosted the forum entitled “Future Leaders: Youth, Innovations, Cultural Heritage”. The program also includes the panel discussion entitled “Different Environments, Common Aspirations” and an exhibition of works by young artists.

The camp will run through August 16.

It includes presentations of youth centers and projects, as well as training sessions on media literacy and artificial intelligence.

The participants will visit the Zangezur National Park and the Tatev Monastery and take a ride on the Wings of Tatev aerial tramway.

Young people will also take part in plogging, a popular environmental activity that combines jogging with collecting litter.

The Youth Camp is being held in accordance with the Action Plan for Kapan as the CIS Youth Capital for 2026.
