The CIS member states intend to expand cooperation in digital technologies. During the Summit held on September 29 in Minsk, the Council of Heads of Government adopted the key documents including:
- the Strategy for Digitalization of Multimodal Transport Corridors
- the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society and the Digital Economy until 2035, with an Action Plan for its implementation.
The Strategy for Digitalization of Multimodal Transport Corridors aims to boost the efficiency and competitiveness of the transport industry by creating a unified digital space, automating logistics and customs control, integrating with international systems, and developing cargo labeling systems.
The new Strategy for the Information Society takes into account modern ICT and focuses on maintaining the economic growth and improving education, healthcare, culture, social protection, and the digital business environments. The implementation of the strategy includes developing areas of human resources, infrastructure and standardization.
The digitalization within the CIS is considered a key driver of social development and improvement of public administration.
