Mayak Severa: CIS First Creative Youth Camp Brings Together More Than 100 Young Specialists

Mayak Severa (The Lighthouse of the North), the first creative youth camp of the CIS member states, has brought together more than 100 young specialists from creative industries. The camp is being held in Syktyvkar.

Six areas are represented at the camp: theater, ethnic music, visual and digital arts, as well as design, and media.

“The main goal we aim to achieve in such a short period is to foster communication, meetings, exchange of experience, and new collaborations across these fields,” said Maria Vahnina, the camp coordinator.

“Each of these young people can help build further ties across the Commonwealth and beyond,” said Mizrob Husanov, a participant from Uzbekistan.

The camp’s programme includes lectures, master classes, creative workshops, film screening and other activities. The camp runs from August 19th till August 23th.
