On November 3, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee participated in the event organized by the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Gora in Moscow and dedicated to the contribution of the former Soviet republics to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
Representatives from the embassies of the CIS countries, Abkhazia and South Ossetia also attended the events.
Participants laid flowers at the Monument to the Soldier-Liberator in the Hall of Glory and viewed the light and sound installation “The Road to Victory”.
A festive concert titled “In the Unity of Cultures Lies the Strength of the People” took place in the Hall of Commanders, featuring performing groups from Russia and other CIS countries.
The stage of the Victory Museum hosted performances by Honored Artist of Dagestan Selim Alakhyarov, the children’s concert studio “Neposedy”, the musical theatre “Na Poklonke” and the folk dance ensembles “Alaniya”, “Bakhor”, “Pobratimy”, “Khimchanochka” among other artists.
The event concluded with a guided tour of the new exhibition “The Path to Victory”.
