CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev Sends Greetings to First International Pony Sport Competitions

The First International Pony Sport Competitions are taking place in Moscow on November 6-9, 2025.

The CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev sent greetings to the organizers, participants, and guests of the competitions.

The message states that these competitions are a genuine gift from the Russian Equestrian Federation to true connoisseurs of equestrian tournaments. They have rightfully been included in the calendar of international events of the Commonwealth of Independent States as a new occurrence worthy of the sports community's attention.

The greeting notes that pony sport provides a unique opportunity for children to engage in this elegant discipline from a very early age. This makes the discipline an excellent opportunity for young riders beginning their path to high achievements to demonstrate their abilities.

Sergey Lebedev wished the competitors to show everything they are capable of, achieve their planned results, and, most importantly, gain motivation for new sporting accomplishments. He wished the organizers and guests vivid impressions, interesting meetings, new acquaintances, luck, and success in developing sports across the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Pony sport is one of the youngest and most dynamically developing equestrian disciplines, featuring young athletes in age categories from 7 to 16 years riding horses up to 150 centimeters tall at the withers. Competitions are held in dressage, show jumping, and eventing.
