CIS Long-Term Observers Hold Meeting at Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic

The CIS Observer Mission continues to monitor the early elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

 

On November 17, 2025, the Head of the CIS Observer Mission Headquarters, Yevgeny Kozyak, met with the Deputy Head of the Public Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurlan Ismailov.

Yevgeny Kozyak informed the kyrgyz side about the formation of the Mission, and the procedures and principles of its activities during the monitoring of the preparation and conduct of the early elections of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh (The Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The representatives of the Ministry outlined the organizational measures taken to prepare the Republic’s internal affairs officers for maintaining public order during the election campaign, as well as for securing the premises of election commissions and safeguarding election documentation.

An agreement was reached to exchange information to ensure the security of CIS international observers during their stay in the country, and to provide the Mission Headquarters with information on cases of election-related legal violations.
