CIS Deputy Secretary-General Denis Trefilov Participates in Events Marking 30th Anniversary of CIS Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General

A conference and a ceremonial reception marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the CIS Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General were held in Moscow on December 8, 2025.

 

Welcoming the event participants, CIS Deputy Secretary-General Denis Trefilov noted: “Established as one of the first interstate structures within the CIS, the Coordinating Council currently fulfills the tasks assigned to it by our heads of state – to coordinate and unite the efforts of the prosecution bodies of the CIS member states in protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms, coordinating actions, and expanding cooperation in strengthening the rule of law and combating crime across the Commonwealth – in a worthy and effective manner”.

He also highlighted the special role and significance of the work of the Coordinating Council Secretariat, whose staff make a worthy personal contribution to the development of cooperation in combating crime and to strengthening the rule of law and public order.

“I am confident that the course taken by the Coordinating Council and its Secretariat has a real long-term perspective, and the fruitful exchange of experience from the independent and joint work of the prosecution bodies of the CIS member states will continue to enhance the effectiveness of interaction and deepen partnership relations between our countries”, summarized Denis Trefilov.

Concluding his address, Denis Trefilov congratulated the employees and veterans of the Commonwealth’s prosecution bodies on the anniversary and wished them success in achieving their set goals.
