Regular interagency and inter-MFA consultations of the CIS member states on international information security issues were held on December 18, 2025, at the Moscow Office of the CIS Executive Committee.
The event was attended by:
– representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan;
– plenipotentiary representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia to the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council;
– representatives of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC);
– representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
During the consultations, the parties considered a range of issues proposed by the CIS member states. These were related to cooperation in the field of information security within international organizations, functioning and development of a secure internet space, and interagency interaction.
The consultations participants presented information on cooperation among the CIS member states in international information security, ensuring information security in the digital age, measures taken to counter offenses committed using ICT, and enhancing personal information security for broad segments of the population in the use of digital technologies and consumption of digital services.
The next round of the CIS interagency consultations on international information security is planned for the second half of 2026.
