CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev held a meeting with Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University Irina Kraeva on December 24, 2025, at the Moscow Office of the CIS Executive Committee.
The parties summarized the outcomes of the outgoing year 2025 and discussed plans for the future. Particular attention was paid to the study of languages of the Commonwealth countries and the work of centers for languages and culture of the CIS member states.
Sergey Lebedev expressed gratitude to Irina Kraeva for her contribution to forming a common cultural and educational space within the Commonwealth.

MSLU is the first and oldest basic organization in the Commonwealth, marking its 25th anniversary this year. It was granted basic organization status by a decision of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.
