First Meeting of Working Group on Preparing and Holding 4th CIS Games in Kyrgyzstan Held

A meeting of the Working Group on preparing and holding the 4th CIS Games was held online on January 19.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives from:

– Azerbaijan;

– Armenia;

– Belarus;

– Kazakhstan;

– Kyrgyzstan;

– Russia;

– Tajikistan;

– Uzbekistan;

– The CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was opened by Alexey Sazonov, Director of the Department for Cooperation in Political, Humanitarian, and Social Spheres of the CIS Executive Committee. He reminded the participants that the 4th CIS Games are planned to be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2027.

In his view, the joint efforts of the Commonwealth countries and the initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic, renowned for its traditions in national sports, will make a significant contribution to the development of the CIS Games project. These Games are set to take place in a new, original format.

The meeting participants took note of the information provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding its readiness to host the 4th CIS Games on its territory in 2027. They also approved proposals for the sports to be included in the competition program.
