On January 21, 2026, a meeting was held at the CIS Executive Committee’s Moscow office between CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev and the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the CIS Statutory and Other Bodies in Minsk, Alexander Lukashevich, who was appointed to this position by decree of the President of the Russian Federation on December 29, 2025.
The parties exchanged views on current issues of cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States and various aspects of the Russian Federation’s participation in integration processes in the CIS format.
