On January 22, 2026, a meeting was held at the CIS Executive Committee’s Moscow office between CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev and the Chairman of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council under the CIS Economic Council, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, Esen Aydogdyyev.
The parties discussed matters of interaction, as well as the upcoming chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
