Preparation for Travel Hub «Commonwealth» Forum Discussed in Minsk

Key organizational issues for the Travel Hub “Commonwealth” forum, scheduled for April 7-9, 2026, as part of the Great Tourism Week in Belarus, were discussed at the CIS Executive Committee headquarters in Minsk.

The meeting was attended by:

  • Deputy Head of the National Tourism Agency of the Republic of Belarus Anastasia Semashko;
  • Head of the Republican Union of Tourism Industry Filipp Guly;
  • Head of the Department for Cooperation in Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth Tatiana Kovaleva;
  • Representative of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly to the Executive Committee Viktor Kogut.

The program of the Travel Hub “Commonwealth” forum will be integrated with the 4th Belarusian-Russian Tourism Congress and the 28th International Tourism Services Exhibition-Fair “OTDYKH-2026” (eng. Holiday-2026).

The Belarus National Assembly’s Republican Council reviewed current preparatory issues for the forum from the perspective of interparliamentary cooperation. It was noted that the Travel Hub “Commonwealth” would complement the business program of the congress with sections on active, rural, and ecological tourism.

One of the key topics of the upcoming forum will be patriotic tourism. Accordingly, a roundtable on patriotic tourism as part of the Travel Hub «Commonwealth» business program will be held at the Museum of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) History. This will allow forum participants not only to discuss current topics but also to visit one of the country’s main memorial exhibitions.
