On February 10, 2026, a working meeting was held in Moscow at MIA Rossiya Segodnya between:
- Andrey Blagodyrenko, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of MIA Rossiya Segodnya and Director of the Sputnik Multimedia Centers Directorate for CIS and Baltic Countries;
- Gulyalek Chopanova, Press Attaché of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation;
- Svetlana Malinina, Head of the CIS Executive Committee’s Press Service.
The parties discussed Sputnik News Agency’s participation in covering Turkmenistan’s chairmanship in the CIS in 2026, as well as the development of media cooperation with colleagues from other countries and the promotion of a positive image of the CIS in the information space.
