On February 12, 2026, a meeting was held at the CIS Executive Committee’s Moscow office between CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Yuri Seliverstov.
Sergey Lebedev congratulated Yuri Seliverstov on his appointment and expressed confidence in the continuation of productive work within the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council.
During the meeting, the parties:
- exchanged views on current issues of cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States;
- discussed the participation of Belarus in integration processes in the CIS format;
- addressed matters related to preparations for meetings of the Commonwealth’s highest bodies.
A separate meeting was also held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, Yuri Seliverstov, and CIS Deputy Secretary-General Ilkhom Nematov.
