A meeting of the expert group to finalize the draft Programme for Implementing the Concept of Establishing a Common (Unified) Educational Space of the Commonwealth of Independent States for the period 2027–2035 was held on February 26 at the CIS headquarters.
The meeting was attended by representatives from:
- Armenia;
- Belarus;
- Kazakhstan;
- Kyrgyzstan;
- Russia;
- Tajikistan;
- The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly;
- The CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation;
- The CIS Executive Committee.
The experts reviewed the comments and proposals received on the draft Programme, finalized the document, and reached an agreement on it. It was decided to submit the draft Programme to the CIS member states for approval.

The draft Programme was developed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation following a decision of the Council for Cooperation in Education.
The document provides for activities aimed at improving mechanisms for developing harmonized models of legal regulation for interaction among the CIS countries in the education sphere, as well as realizing the scientific, technical and educational potential of national education systems. Special attention is paid to coordinating approaches to the training and certification of scientific and pedagogical personnel.
Furthermore, the Programme includes planned activities for cooperation in the field of inclusive education, improving systems for monitoring and controlling the quality of professional education, as well as expanding joint projects in the field of distance learning using digital technologies and data analytics.
