CIS Experts Discuss Issues of International Cooperation

On March 3, 2026, a meeting of the expert group was held to finalize and coordinate information on the implementation of the Plan for Multilevel Inter-MFA Consultations within the CIS and the Programme of Action to Intensify Partnership between the CIS Foreign Policy Agencies for 2025.

 

The working group was attended by representatives from:

  • Belarus;
  • Kazakhstan;
  • Kyrgyzstan;
  • Russia;
  • Tajikistan;
  • Uzbekistan;
  • The CIS Executive Committee.

The developed documents will be submitted to the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers on April 17, 2026, in Moscow.

The Multilevel Inter-MFA Consultations within the CIS, held since 1995, represent an important instrument of political interaction among the states. They are held on a regular basis in the format of interested parties in accordance with the Plan, approved annually at the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.

The main goals of the consultations are broad exchange of information and views on current foreign policy issues of mutual interest, on regional and global policy, and analysis of problems hindering the advancement of joint initiatives in international organizations.
