On March 10 in Moscow, issues related to preparing the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers were considered.
The working meeting, held at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Reception House, the historic mansion of the Morozov family of entrepreneurs, was attended by:
- CIS Deputy Secretary-General Denis Trefilov;
- Deputy Director of the First CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Dyachenko;
- Responsible officials from the CIS Executive Committee and the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Organizational and financial aspects of preparing the forthcoming important event were discussed. The parties reached mutual understanding on all matters considered. The specifics of holding the meeting during the Commonwealth’s anniversary year – the year of the CIS's 35th anniversary – were also taken into account.
The meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers will take place on April 17, 2026, in Moscow at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Reception House. It is planned that the foreign ministers will exchange views and make decisions on a wide range of current issues on the international agenda and on interaction within the CIS format.
