The members of the Commission heard a report on the activities of the Intergovernmental Council for Cooperation in Veterinary Medicine for 2023–2025. The report noted that, overall, the tasks set before the Council are being fulfilled, and its work is having a positive impact on integration processes in the field of veterinary medicine among the CIS member states.
Joint actions by the veterinary services of the CIS member states within the framework of the Council’s functioning contribute to preventing the introduction and spread of dangerous infectious animal diseases across the territories of the CIS member states, minimizing economic damage in the event of potential disease outbreaks, and improving measures to combat them.
The document will be submitted for consideration to the CIS Economic Council.
The attention of the Commission members was also drawn to a report on the activities of the basic organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States for training, professional retraining, and advanced training of personnel in the field of intellectual property – the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property.
