On April 14, 2026, a briefing-presentation of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), scheduled for June 3-6, 2026, took place at the press center of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow. The event, attended by representatives of diplomatic missions, was organized by the Russian Foreign Ministry jointly with the Roscongress Foundation.
The upcoming forum has long established itself as a key platform where the current economic agenda is shaped, strategic initiatives are discussed, and multibillion-dollar contracts are signed.
According to Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Pankin, despite the difficult geopolitical situation, SPIEF consistently attracts the interest of foreign partners, which indicates a high level of trust in its platform from government representatives, as well as from the expert and business communities.
Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Forum Alexey Valkov emphasized that special attention at SPIEF will be paid to the transformation of the global economy, adaptation to new conditions, and business development prospects for the coming years.
Briefing participants observed the architecture of the SPIEF 2026 programme, its thematic content, the concept of business sessions, as well as logistical details of the events. Diplomats were also informed about the upcoming St. Petersburg International Legal Forum and the “Travel!” Forum.
Representing the CIS Executive Committee at the briefing was Director of the Economic Cooperation Department Mikhail Myskin.
