CIS Deputy Secretary-General Ilkhom Nematov Sends Greetings to Participants of 3rd National Milk Congress

The 3rd National Milk Congress is taking place in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, from April 15–17, 2026. This key industry event is focused on Russian-Belarusian cooperation.

Roundtable discussions are addressing prospects for the development of the dairy industry in current conditions, issues of export-import potential in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, as well as the expansion of trade ties with other states.

Greetings to the organizers, participants, and guests of the congress were sent by CIS Deputy Secretary-General Ilkhom Nematov.

The message notes that ensuring food security has consistently been a priority area of interaction among the Commonwealth states.

The CIS Deputy Secretary-General also recalled that the dairy industry accounts for a significant share of the agro-industrial complex. Dairy products are an important part of the diet, contributing to the maintenance of public health for current and future generations.

“In this regard, one of the priority tasks for the coming years is not only to increase dairy production volumes but also to introduce new technologies that will improve the efficiency and sustainability of the dairy sector. This includes the use of modern farm management methods, improving animal genetics, and developing new feed technologies,” Ilkhom Nematov emphasized in his address.

It is expected that joint discussions of quality standards and export strategies will allow for assessing new opportunities for industry growth and proposing solutions for the progressive development of the agro-industrial complex.
