From May 12 to 15, 2026, the 31st International Medical Forum “Healthcare of Belarus – 2026” is taking place in Minsk. This event is a unique platform bringing together leading Belarusian and international medical and pharmaceutical companies, as well as developers of innovative technologies.
The Forum's exhibition showcases products from over 200 participants from 8 countries: Belarus, Russia, Hungary, India, China, Latvia, Turkey, and Switzerland.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was attended by a delegation of the CIS Executive Committee led by CIS Deputy Secretary-General Nurlan Seitimov. He delivered greetings from CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev to the organizers and participants of the official opening ceremony.
The message particularly emphasizes that over more than three decades, the Forum has become a leading international platform for exchanging best practices, showcasing innovative technologies, and strengthening professional ties.
“Health protection in the Republic of Belarus has been elevated to the rank of a key state priority. The Head of State consistently emphasizes: ‘The health of any nation is the foundation of its sustainable development and prosperity. In this regard, building an accessible and effective healthcare system is a critical priority of state policy’,” the message states.
It notes that, following this course, Belarus rightfully takes pride in its achievements in medicine: a high level of accessibility and quality of medical care, breakthrough successes in transplantology, oncology, cardiac surgery and pediatrics, large-scale digitalization of healthcare, and the development of the pharmaceutical industry.
“The vector of interaction among the CIS countries is inextricably linked to deepening international partnership and strengthening friendly ties across the Commonwealth space. Recognizing the scale of contemporary challenges and taking into account the initiative of the Republic of Belarus to establish a common health space, we are moving from targeted cooperation to long-term strategic planning,” Sergey Lebedev emphasized in his message.
It also highlights the symbolic significance that the Forum is taking place during the Year of Health Protection in the CIS. This thematic year is designed to unite efforts around the core value of preserving the health of the peoples of the Commonwealth countries and improving the quality and accessibility of medical services across the entire CIS space.
“Today, the Forum is not just an exhibition of achievements; it is a platform where the medicine of tomorrow is being shaped,” the message concludes.
It should be recalled that the Forum's business programme over four days will include 45 conferences and seminars on a wide range of issues relevant to modern healthcare. Among them is the conference "The Human Right to Health Protection: Contemporary Challenges and State Responsibility. Exchange of Experience and Best Practices in Human Rights Activities across the Commonwealth of Independent States Space.”
