On May 20, 2026, the 10th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Russia and World: Dialogues – 2026. New Reality” was held in Moscow. The event was organized by the National Research Institute for Communications Development with the support of its general partner, the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference brought together leading scholars, experts, representatives of government authorities, and public and political figures from the CIS member states – Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Abkhazia, Bulgaria, Georgia, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Serbia, and South Ossetia.
The CIS Executive Committee was represented at the conference by Alexandr Matyash, Director of the Information and Analytical Department, and Igor Grigoriev, Head of Information and Informatization Division.
At the plenary session, Alexandr Matyash delivered greetings from the CIS Secretary-General Sergey Lebedev to the participants of the conference. In his message, the CIS Secretary-General emphasized the importance of strengthening civilized and cultural cooperation during a period of fundamental transformation and restructuring of international relations architecture, as well as the role of the National Research Institute for Communications Development in promoting international scientific and expert dialogue and cooperation among the CIS member states.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee also participated in the expert session entitled “Integration of Eurasian Spaces: Toward the 35th anniversary of the CIS”. The central theme of the session was the idea that, despite current challenges, the Commonwealth countries continue to develop mutually beneficial integration, while paying particular attention to strengthening humanitarian space and preserving cultural heritage and historical memory.
The reports presented by the conference participants will be published in the proceedings of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, as well as in the academic journal “Russia and the World: Scientific Dialogue”.
