The grand opening of the 16th Musical Academy for Children took place in Samara. The project is held under the patronage of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, Yuri Bashmet.
The ceremony was held on the stage of the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. The participants and guests of the project were welcomed by Irina Kalyagina, Minister of Culture of the Samara region. She wished the young musicians to make active use of their learning opportunities, gain new knowledge and achieve creative success.
This year, talented children from nine CIS countries have come to Samara. Over several days, they will hone their performing skills under the guidance of renowned educators and musicians.
The program of the Academy includes master classes in various musical disciplines. Classes will be offered in the piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and classical guitar.
The venues for the educational program will be children’s music schools and arts schools in Samara.
