On June 3, 2026, the final meeting of the expert group to agree on the draft Action Plan for the Preparation and Holding of the Year of Legal Awareness in the CIS in 2027 was held via videoconference in Minsk.
The meeting was attended by representatives of:
- Azerbaijan;
- Armenia;
- Belarus;
- Kazakhstan;
- Kyrgyzstan;
- Russia;
- Tajikistan;
- Uzbekistan;
- the Secretariat of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Council;
- the CIS Executive Committee.
The draft Action Plan includes a series of events aimed at enhancing legal literacy of citizens, developing legal culture and strengthening cooperation among competent authorities of the Commonwealth member states in this sphere.
The agreed document will be submitted to the supreme CIS bodies for consideration as per established procedure.
