A presentation of the large-scale cultural project “Golden Collection of Russian Theatre Productions” was held in Minsk. Implemented by the Russian Theatre Union jointly with the Tricolor company and cultural partners, the project has already become one of the key initiatives aimed at preserving theatrical heritage and promoting classical and contemporary performing arts.
It is aimed at creating a unique video archive of television versions of outstanding stage performances reflecting the richness and diversity of theatrical traditions.
The “Golden Collection of Russian Theatre Productions” project covers a wide range of genres: from classical productions based on Russian drama to contemporary directors’ interpretations, forming a comprehensive panorama of Russia’s theatrical life. Particular attention is paid to producing high-quality television versions of stage performances. It makes theatre accessible to audiences in different countries and regions.
The presentation featured a television version of the play “The Captain’s Daughter” by the Moscow Provincial Theater (directed by Sergey Bezrukov).
During the event, an initiative was also announced to further develop the project by creating the “Golden Collection of CIS Theatre Productions”. Its implementation would allow expanding the project’s cultural space beyond a single country and establishing a unified digital platform bringing together the best theatre productions of the Commonwealth countries.
Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee participated in the event.
