On June 10, 2026, the final plenary session of the 19th Forum of Creative and Scientific Intellectuals of the CIS Member States was held in Bishkek.
The Forum brought together representatives of the scientific and cultural communities, government authorities, international organizations, media outlets, and public and creative associations of the CIS countries.
The Forum’s program included a plenary session dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the CIS and upcoming centenary the birth of the outstanding writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, as well as thematic discussion platforms on digitalization of culture, cooperation in science and education, and the role of Chinghiz Aitmatov’s creative legacy in the contemporary literary process of the Commonwealth.
Following the discussions, participants adopted a resolution reaffirming the importance of further strengthening humanitarian cooperation within the CIS, developing joint cultural, educational and scientific projects, expanding cross-cultural dialogue, and introducing contemporary digital technologies into the humanitarian sphere.
Among the key recommendations of the resolution are:
- development of partnership between cultural institutions of the Commonwealth countries;
- creation of new joint projects in the fields of theatre, cinema, library, museum and archival work;
- expanded use of digital platforms for online exhibitions, virtual tours and broadcasts of cultural events.
Particular attention was drawn to cooperation in education and science, adaptation of national educational systems to modern challenges related to digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the development of interdisciplinary approaches within the framework of the Year of Health Protection declared in the Commonwealth.
The Forum participants also honored the memory of the great Kyrgyz writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, emphasizing his outstanding contribution to world culture and the strengthening of humanitarian ties between peoples.
