Regular Meeting of Economic Affairs Commission under CIS Economic Council Held in Moscow

On June 17, 2026, a regular meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council was held at the CIS Executive Committee office in Moscow.

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of:

  • sectoral cooperation bodies, ministries, agencies and the scientific community,
  • National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute”,
  • Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and Russia,
  • Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Transfusiology and Medical Biotechnologies (Belarus),
  • Skolkovo Foundation,
  • Russian State Center for Quality and Standardization of Veterinary Drugs and Feed,
  • Center for Scientific, Technical and Marketing Research “UNICON.UZ” (Uzbekistan),
  • Central Bank of Azerbaijan,
  • General Confederation of Trade Unions

as well as

  • Rector of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education Viktor Fomin
  • Chairman of the Committee for Affairs of Internationalist Soldiers under the CIS Heads of Government Council N.M. Shuba,
  • CIS Deputy Secretary-General Ilkhom Nematov,
  • other responsible officials of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was chaired by representative of Turkmenistan Batyr Berdiyev.

During the discussion, the Commission members adopted relevant decisions on the following agenda items:

  1. On the CIS basic organization providing methodological and organizational-technical support for work in the field of digital society development.
  2. On obstacles to mutual trade among the CIS member states and recommendations for their elimination.
  3. On the draft Concept for Developing Cooperation among the CIS Member States in the Field of Production of Advanced Materials for High-Tech Industries and the draft Action Plan for its implementation.
  4. On the draft Comprehensive Action Plan for 2026–2030 on the implementation of the Interstate Programme for Innovation Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030.
  5. On the CIS basic organization in the field of transfusiology.
  6. On the CIS basic organization in the field of continuous professional education of healthcare specialists.
  7. On the CIS basic organization in the field of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment.
  8. On the draft Complex of Joint Actions of the CIS Member States on Prevention and Control of Brucellosis for the period up to 2032.
  9. On legal regulation in the field of state regulation of prices (tariffs) in the CIS member states.
  10. On the implementation in 2025 of the Interstate Programme for Improving the Quality of Life of War Veterans – Participants in Local Conflicts and Their Families in the CIS Member States for 2021–2025.
  11. On financing in 2027 the Interstate Programme for Improving the Quality of Life of War Veterans – Participants in Local Conflicts and Their Families in the CIS Member States for 2026–2030.
  12. On the implementation in 2025 of the activities to continue in 2025–2029 the search for military personnel missing in action during the war in Afghanistan in 1979–1989, search for burial sites, exhumation, identification of remains and their reburial in their homeland.
  13. On financing in 2027 of activities to continue in 2025–2029 the search for military personnel missing in action during the war in Afghanistan in 1979–1989, search for burial sites, exhumation, identification of remains and their reburial in their homeland.
  14. On the state of the securities market in the CIS member states.
  15. On the date and draft agenda of the next meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission.

Materials on most issues have been submitted by the Commission for consideration at the meeting of the CIS Economic Council, scheduled for September this year.

The next meeting of the Commission will be held on July 22, 2026.
