On June 19, 2026, the 9th meeting of the Coordinating Committee on Field Training under the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS Member States was held in Moscow.
The event was attended by representatives of the defense ministries of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretariat of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers.
The participants discussed:
- the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and robotic systems in the special military operation;
- the preparation of units for missions aimed at countering technical systems which use wireless data transmission technologies and fiber-optic control;
- methods and specifics of training specialists in unmanned systems.
As part of the practical work of the Coordination Council, a training and methodological session was held at the Interservice regional training center with the participation of the commanders responsible for combat training and the specialists involved in the preparation and use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
The participants of the session learned about the activities, training facilities and infrastructure of the center for junior specialists and studied best practices of using engineer equipment and unmanned systems in combat missions.
At the conclusion, the Coordination Council members honored the memory of the Soviet soldiers, who died defending Stalingrad. They laid wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame in the Hall of Military Glory at Mamayev Kurgan.
