CIS Permanent Representatives Council Holds Regular Meeting in Minsk

A regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member States to the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth was held in Minsk on June 30.

 

The meeting was attended by Sergey Lebedev, CIS Secretary-General.

The participants discussed:

  • Joint Report of Russian and Belarusian Foreign Ministries "On the Human Rights Situation in Individual Countries";
  • activities of the CIS Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of Population in 2023–2025;
  • activities of the CIS Council for Cooperation in Healthcare aimed at creating a common epidemiologic space to ensure sanitary control across the Commonwealth;
  • results of the work of the CIS Sectoral Cooperation Bodies in the legal sphere in 2025;
  • proposals for the draft agendas of the next regular meetings of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers and the CIS Heads of State Council scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan on October 7 and 9 respectively;
  • software for the centralized healthcare information system;
  • outcomes of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum;
  • adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of the Tajikistan-initiated resolution International Decade of Strengthening of Peace for Future Generations;
  • results of the work of the CIS Observer Mission during the regular parliamentary elections of the Republic of Armenia held on June 7, 2026;
  • procedures for the formalization of the withdrawal of the Republic of Moldova from the Commonwealth of Independent States;
  • coordination of a draft renewed version of the Rules of Procedures of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives to the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth;
  • presentation of the documentary film Hero Fortress produced using materials from the collections of the Belarusian State Archive of Films, Photographs, and Sound Recordings;
  • information on the CIS honorary title City of Labor Glory.

The next meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Representatives is scheduled to be held in Minsk on July 28.
