There are 121 basic organizations operating in the CIS in various fields and areas of cooperation:
- in the economic sphere – 43;
- in the security sphere – 26;
- in the humanitarian sphere – 48;
- in the legal sphere – 3;
- in the information sphere – 1.
The basic organizations make a significant contribution to the development of the CIS Member States and to the cooperation and integration processes among them.
