The 50th meeting of the Interstate Road Council was held on December 10, 2025, in Samara, Russian Federation, in a hybrid format (in-person and via videoconference).
The meeting was attended by associate members of the Intergovernmental Road Council and representatives of:
– road, transport, and research organizations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan;
– the CIS Executive Committee;
– the Executive Committee of the Coordination Transport Meeting of the CIS Member States;
– the International Association of Transport and Road Workers’ Trade Unions.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Intergovernmental Road Council, Head of the Council’s Secretariat, Buri Karimov.
During the meeting, 12 agenda items were considered, including:
– development of integration in the CIS transport sphere during the implementation of the first stage (2021–2025);
– the Action Plan for implementing the second stage (2026–2030) of the CIS Economic Development Strategy until 2030;
– the upcoming start of the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035) and the tasks arising from its Program of Action.
The meeting was productive, with decisions made on the discussed issues.
The next, 51st meeting of the Council is scheduled for the second half of 2026 in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
